Isak Fruchtman is currently a graduate student pursuing his M.S. in Civil Engineering at the University of Wisconsin - Madison (UW-Madison). He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the same university in May, 2017.

His work experiences include working as a construction material technician (May 2016-November 2016) and as a Geotechnical Engineer Intern (May 2017-August 2017) for Braun Intertec Co. He has worked on a wide variety of jobs ranging anywhere from municipal utility projects to the construction of the new Dickinson

Middle School in North Dakota. These work experiences have provided him with a wide background in topics such as: lab/field material testing, surveying, soil classification, and slope stability analysis.

As a graduate student, Isak's research focuses on bluff erosion in the Great Lakes. He has presented his research at the 2017 State of Lake Michigan Conference and plans to present at the AWRA Wisconsin Section - 2018 Annual Conference this March, 2018. His area of research and past work experiences have prepared him to be an excellent asset to the Alpha Iota Project Team.
